The Home and School Relationships training will equip teachers with the background knowledge, skills and strategies necessary to establish and maintain positive relationships with parents in the school community.
Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with parents is critical in ensuring any students success in the classroom.In order to create a safe environment with open communication, it is beholden on teachers to play an active role in forming strong relationships with all of the stakeholders involved in a students development.The Home-School Relationship training will identify how, when and why teachers should communicate with parents. Participants will move through hypothetical scenarios in order to practice using the strategies given throughout the training. Authentic work samples from a variety of classrooms will be provided to teachers as examples of best practice. We encourage participants to approach this training with an open mind and heart and take advantage of all of the resources available in order to ensure success.
