Length: 3hr

The Making Learning Visible training will communicate the importance and purpose of making learning visible to all stakeholders in the school community. When Making Learning Visible is implemented in schools, it has the potential to build a culture of learners, empower students, inform teachers about learning in their classroom, and communicate information to parents. Throughout this training participants will learn what teachers and students can do to support the creation of learning groups in the classroom and how observation and documentation can shape, extend, and make visible children's and adults' individual and group learning. This training will provide participants with the opportunity to interact with work samples from a variety of contexts and understand how teachers, students, and others can be creators as well as transmitters of culture and knowledge. By the conclusion of the training, participants will understand why Making Learning Visible is such a powerful tool for documentation, planning and accountability. Finally, participants will be equipped with the tools and training to make learning visible in their own classroom in the future.
